WICKED - There's No Place Like Home

Last night I went to see Wicked with my friend Missy at the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco. It was GREAT... If you get a chance defiantly go and see it.

But I have to thank Kira, my wonderful sister-in-law, who is the Director of Advertising at SHN and who gave me these great tickets, plus a fun goody bag of gifts from Wicked... WE LOVED IT – THANK YOU!!! Yeah for Kira! We also enjoyed a great dinner and martinis at the California Pizza Kitchen. So much so that Missy and I had to sprint back to the theater in order to make the curtain. (Just picture two crazed women running in heels down the side walk after a few cocktails! Yelling at each other to hurry up... That was us!) Thank goodness we made it or we would have missed the first twenty minutes. Once the doors close you must wait twenty minutes into the performance in order not to disrupt the theater.

This little county mouse had the best girls’ night out in the city!

Kira hope your back is feels better...

The Art of Outdoors Entertaining...

With summer comes everyone’s favorite pastime –outdoor entertaining. Summer patio parties and backyard barbecues turn your yard into the hub of casual entertaining. Here are some items to can really add to your outdoors fun.
Okay, this one may be a little over the top for us common folk!!! But still lots of fun .

Ella's Spring Picture...

Is she not the cutest? The school takes fall and spring pictures. This is Ella's spring photo that we just got today, and I thing she looks adorable! I can't believe how big she is. It's even harder to believe that she will be starting second grade in four months...

Fun and Charming Breakfast Nooks...

Now I just need a cup of tea and a bowl of fresh fruit salad and I ready to begin my day!

Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory - Come on a Tour with Us!

Today Ella’s first grade class went on a tour of Mrs. Grossman’s Sticker Factory. The kids got to watch the magic as the stickers get printed, packaged and shipped right before their eyes! The adult experience the same magic as we watch wine label getting printed!

The one-hour tour includes:

An award-winning video hosted by Angus, Mrs. Grossman's granddog

A guided tour of the sticker factory

A fun Sticker Art craft activity

A visit to our Sticker Museum, where you can see every sticker we've made

The printing presses run 24 hours a day, five days a week, in the 110,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and printing plant just 40 miles north of San Francisco.

We saw thousands of stickers going through every stage of printing, high-speed packaging as well as machines sorting, and wrapping. Wait until you see the LaserWeb! It's the only system of its kind in the United States that can cut laser-cut stickers. It's a high-tech wonder that shoots 10,000-degree laser beams to make the delicate cuts on Mrs. Grossman's Paper Whisper™ stickers. ( psst. See I can pay attention just as good as any first grader!)

After the factory tour, it's off to the Sticker Art room where we decorate a postcard using Mrs. Grossman's stickers.

The girls decorating their postcards!
Ella's Postcard! Mommy's Postcard!
I kept telling the kids “I have that sticker and that one too!” I told them when I was younger I collect Mrs. Grossman’s stickers. They all think I’m weird now, oh well!!! Mmmm, I wonder where I stuck that collection.

All in all it was a fun day!

Our Evening...Just Relax!

Last night our evening was spent enjoying the weather in our backyard with a great bottle of Syrah....
What a great life.....

Dressed in Black!

Black has amazing power to solidify a color scheme, pull together disparate pieces of furniture, and give your home a touch of Hollywood glam. Why not try it in one of your rooms?
