The San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2009

On May 23 we (Kira, my sister-in-law, Muriel, my mother-in-law, and I) went to the 2009 San Francisco Decorator Showcase Home. Wow, this house was over the top... We had lots of fun looking at all the room. I only took a few pictures before my camera died, so Kira sent me a link with pictures. Take a look at how the rich folks live... I’ll be honest a lot of the rooms were not my taste, but I thought they were really interesting and fun. But the house itself is to die for; it was love at first sight!!!

Wide marble steps lead up to the red brick Georgian-style home in Pacific Heights that is on the market for $9,995,000. The home was selected as the 2009 Decorator Showcase in San Francisco.
The entry has rich crown moldings and corbels, wainscot paneling, inlay hardwood floors and custom lighting. (Excluding the dead, stuffed animals, the entry with all of its details is just plain Yummy!!! Love, love, love the ceilings!) The grand staircase with paneling and tall west windows.
The living room with crown molding and a marble fireplace.
The upper landing in the Georgian-style home in Pacific Heights.
The upper hallway. The house showcasted alot of big game animal pictures. Lions, tigers and elephants, oh my!
The breakfast and family room.
The sofa in the family room, next to the breakfast room.
The formal dining room where large French doors open to the rose garden and terrace.
The kitchen has a large butler's pantry with wet bar and desk space.
The kitchen has zinc countertops, Heath tiles and hand forged bronze and hardwood floors. There is a six-burner Viking stove, grill and double ovens and a commercial ventilator. Such a hard life!
The bar next to the kitchen. Can you say WOW!
The study on the second level with a walk-in storage/cabinet with bath access behind the cabinet. I loved the fireplace in this room!
The master bedroom with the big canopy bed.
The master bedroom with one of the four fireplaces. To the master suite also belongs a master bath and "his" and "her" sitting/dressing rooms.
"His" sitting room on the second level is next to the master bedroom.
The guestroom, one of the seven bedrooms. This was my favorite room in the house, the bathroom in this room was also amazing! I was ready to move on in...but was a few million short on the purchase price!
The breakfast terrace on the main level has separate entrance for easy access to catering.
The roof garden on the top floor. Now that what I can a view, can anyone top this?
The penthouse on the third level with bay and city views from all the sides. I could read all day in this space.
Another view from the roof garden on the third floor. There was a 360 degree view from this roof top garden. Now this is luxury!
The Vintner's Vault on the lower level. On the same floor there is also a meditation room, a sports room, staff bedroom and a ballroom.
